TALLAHASSEE - Four Florida State softball players were named Softball America All-Americans on Tuesday afternoon. Isa Torres was named a First Team All-American and was also named the Defender of the Year. Jaysoni Beachum, Ashtyn Danley and Jazzy Francik all earned Second Team honors.Â
Torres put together one of the most decorated seasons in FSU and NCAA history this year. The USA Softball Player of the Year Finalist hit a school record .530 with 16 home runs and 56 RBI. Torres broke the school record for slugging percentage (.978) and on-base percentage (.591) and recorded the second-most hits in school history with 98. Torres broke the NCAA record with 16-consecutive hits and reached base in 23-consecutive plate appearances which was the third-longest streak in NCAA history. Defensively, Torres was nails at shortstop as she did not record an error in her first 164 chances this season. Torres ended the year with just two errors in 184 chances.Â
Beachum quietly put together a great season for the Garnet and Gold. The junior finished the season with a .406 batting average with 10 home runs and 69 RBI. Her 69 RBI are the fourth-most in school history and her .406 batting average ranks eighth in school history. Beachum was walked 54 times this season and held a .549 on-base percentage which ranks third in school history.Â
Danley did a little bit of everything this season and had a breakout season offensively to add to her solid play in the circle. Danley hit .353 with a career best 12 home runs and 57 RBI. Danley became just the second Seminole to hit three home runs in a game this past Saturday against Stetson. Danley was also terrific in the circle as she posted a 13-1 record with a 2.09 ERA in 100.1 innings.Â
Francik continued to pace the Noles in the circle as the sophomore had a team-leading 1.86 ERA and a 24-3 record. Francik's 24 wins are the most wins by a Seminole pitcher since Kathryn Sandercock in 2023.
