Three Seminoles Named to Preseason Soccer All-ACC Team

TALLAHASSEE – Three Florida State soccer players were named to the Preseason All-ACC Team, as junior forward Wrianna Hudson, junior defender Janey Okeke and sophomore midfielder Nyanya Touray were recognized by the conference on Monday.
Hudson, Okeke and Touray are all honored on the Preseason All-ACC Team for the first time in their careers as the trio return to the Seminoles after a national-championship campaign in 2025. FSU's three awardees are its most since also having three in 2022, with two in each of the last three preseasons.
Also on Monday, Florida State was voted to finish fourth in the Preseason Coaches Poll in a vote by the league's 17 head coaches. The Seminoles, winners of two of the last three NCAA titles, received three first-place votes and were one of five teams to accumulate at least 200 points (213). Notre Dame (239 points), Stanford (233) and Duke (244) were first, second and third, respectively, with North Carolina (207) rounding out the top five behind FSU.
A Top Drawer Soccer Best XI Third Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Fourth Team honoree in 2025, Hudson was named the College Cup Offensive Most Outstanding Player to cap her sophomore season. Her game-winning goals in both the national championship game and national semifinal were two of a team-leading 15 goals scored in 2015, with one assist for 31 points, second-most on the team. A Rochester, New York, native, Hudson played in all 22 games with 14 starts and 1,182 minutes and also led the team with five game-winning goals.
Okeke was recognized with Academic All-District accolades in her first season with the Seminoles in 2025. She anchored a back line that notched 13 shutouts a season ago, including clean sheets in five of seven postseason games and both contests in the College Cup. From Laval, Canada, Okeke played in all 22 games with 21 starts as a sophomore and had one assist in 1,823 minutes, second-most on the team.
Touray's debut collegiate season saw her play in 16 games with five starts, all in the NCAA Tournament. In 649 minutes, the Silver Spring, Maryland, native scored two goals with two assists for six points. Touray had 16 shots and three shots on goal. Her one game-winning goal was in the team's NCAA Third Round win at second-seed Georgetown.
Florida State opens the 2026 season with an exhibition game against Sporting Jacksonville on Friday, August 7, at 7 p.m. ET. Admission is free for the preseason contest at the Seminole Soccer Complex. The regular season commences for the five-time NCAA champions at Stetson on August 13, and the Seminoles' first home game is vs. FAU on August 20, at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the 2026 Florida State soccer season are now on sale. New in 2026, tickets will be required for all fans to every regular-season home game at the Seminole Soccer Complex.
