SENIOR (2020):

Appeared in 16 games with 11 starts…hit .233 with 10 hits, two doubles and a home run…had nine RBI and scored 11 runs…hit FSU’s first home run of the season against Niagara on February 15, capping off a 24-4 win for head coach Mike Martin, Jr.’s first career victory…career-high three runs scored and three walks drawn against FAU on February 29…three RBI vs. Niagara tied a career high…started six games, including on Opening Day, at first base, with five starts at third base…also appeared in relief at second base and behind the plate…had multi-hit games against Niagara, USF and FAU…lone hit by pitch came against FAU.

JUNIOR (2019):

Made 45 appearances and 23 starts, hitting .245 with two home runs, two doubles and 10 RBI with 18 runs scored…started the final 11 games of the season at first base…named to the All-Athens Regional team, hitting 5-for-13 with a double, home run and four runs batted in…scored two runs against Georgia in the Athens Regional and had a season-high three RBI against the Bulldogs…had three hits against Richmond on May 11 and drew three walks against the Spiders on May 12…home runs came against Youngstown State on February 23 and against No. 4 national seed Georgia in the Athens Regional…one of just three Seminoles with multiple hits in the College World Series, notching singles against Arkansas and Texas Tech.

PERSONAL:

Hit over .300 in both seasons at Florida SouthWestern State College…hit three home runs with 29 RBI (team-high) and had 13 multi-hit games as a sophomore…nominated to the Suncoast Conference All-Academic team both seasons at FSW…played his first season at Memphis…along with high school teammate Cooper Swanson, helped lead The Canterbury School to a 31-1 record and the Class 3A state championship in 2016, the school’s first…hit .391 with 34 hits and 34 runs scored as a senior at Canterbury…won the Seminoles Got Talent student-athlete talent show in 2019…parents are Eugene and Cynthia Smith…majoring in social science…born February 11, 1998.
