WHY I WEAR MY NUMBER
I wear No. 21 at Florida State because that’s the only number I have ever worn – I’ve worn it my whole life and it has gotten me this far.
Michael Snaer, one of the most fearless shooters in school history, is one of 22 players (including Fletcher) who has worn No. 21 in school history. Snaer made himself a Seminole legend during the 2012 and 2013 seasons when he hit what is believed to be an NCAA record six buzzer-beating game-winning shots. Snaer was also named the MVP of the 2012 ACC Tournament as the Seminoles won their first ACC Championship in school history.

My full name is Cam’Ron Nazir Fletcher. I’m named after the rapper, Cameron, who has released 12 albums worldwide. Cam’Ron may be best known for sparking a fashion phenomenon with his pink wardrobe and matching Range Rover.

Projected to be one of the top players for the Seminoles and in the ACC who had he career derailed by injuries during both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons…played in a career-high 29 games during the 2021-22 season after transferring from Kentucky to Florida State…played in 17 games in his final two seasons at Florida State (10 during the 2022-23 season and seven during the 2023-24 season)…entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on April 29, 2024 and committed to play as a graduate student at Xavier University on May 8, 2024…entered the NCAA Transfer Portal for the first time on March 13, 2021 and committed to Leonard Hamilton and Florida State on April 17, 2021…selected Florida State over USC, UCLA, Washington, Saint Mary’s (Calif.), San Diego State. Averaged 6.7 points (seventh on the team), 5.0 rebounds (second), and 15.9 minutes played per game while playing in only seven games…suffered a season ending knee injury to his right knee against North Carolina on December 2, 2023 at the Dean E. Averaged a career-high 10.8 points, a career-high 7.5 rebounds and a career-high 1.3 steals while playing in 10 games and averaging 29.0 minutes played per game...suffered a season-ending injury to his right knee against Virginia on December 3, 2022 at John Paul Jones Arena...was enjoying a fabulous season before the injury as he was ranked fourth on the team in scoring and as Florida State’s leading rebounder at the time of the injury late in Florida State’s ACC opener at Virginia (Dec. 3)...a fantastic start to the season with six games in double figure scoring including a career-high 23-point performance in Florida State’s victory over Mercer (Nov. 21)...tied his career-high with 10 rebounds at home in the Donald L. Averaged 10.0 points (30 total points), 4.3 rebounds (13 total rebounds), 1.0 blocked shots (3 total blocked shots) and 1.0 steal (3 total steals) while shooting .524 from the field (11 of 21) and .333 from the 3-point line (3 of 9) during Florida State’s three-game tour of Canada in August in August of 2022…one of five Seminoles in double figures with 15 points, 5 rebounds, a team-leading 3 blocked shots and 2 steals in Florida State’s 86-66 win over Ottawa in the first game of its three-game Canadian tour…totaled 25 minutes of playing time in making 6 of 10 shots from the field (.600 percent) and 2 of 3 shots from the 3-point line (.667 percent)…of his 5 rebounds, four were on the defensive end of the court…scored 9 points with 4 rebounds in 22 minutes as a starter in Florida State’s 98-64 win over Carleton in the second game of the north of the border tour…scored 7 points in 21 minutes of play as a starter with 4 rebounds and 2 assists in the Seminoles’ 90-74 win over McGill University in the third game of their Canadian Tour…Florida State finished 3-0 with wins over the University of Ottawa, Carleton University and McGill University.

Averaged 6.8 points (sixth on the team), high 3.4 rebounds (fourth), and high 0.9 steals (fifth) while averaging a 16.3 minutes played per game in his first season at Florida State....helped lead the Seminoles to a 17-14 overall record and a 10-10 conference mark...played in each of Florida State’s first 29 games of the season and played in double figure minutes in 24 of his 29 appearances...his season-high of 33 minutes for 12 points scored came in his first appearance at Cameron Indoor Stadium against Duke (Feb. 19)...scored in double figures in nine games, including five in ACC play...his season-high for points came as he totaled 17 points in Florida State’s 81-80 win over Clemson at the Donald L. AS A FRESHMAN (2021): Averaged 1.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and shot .538 percent from the field in nine games during his only season at Kentucky…played in nine games with one starting assignment (at Richmond)…averaged 6.7 minutes played with his season-high of 17 minutes played coming in his first career game against Morehead State (Nov. 25)……scored his season-high of nine points on four of five made field goals, pulled down five rebounds and was credited with three assists as the Wildcats defeated the Eagles by an 81-45 margin in the season-opener for both teams…pulled down his season-high of six rebounds against Richmond (Nov. 29) as a starter…saw a minute of action in the Southeastern Conference Tournament game against Mississippi State…scored on a dunk and added a pair of rebounds in the regular-season finale against South Carolina…recorded a season-high two steals and two rebounds vs. North Carolina (Dec. 19).
AT VASHON: Graduated from Vashon High School in St. Louis in 2020..averaged 20.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game as a senior…earned All-American Honorable Mention honors as a senior as named by MaxPreps…named as the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Class 4 Player of the Year…named to the Class 5 All-State team in Missouri by the MBCA…an All-State selection for all classes by Suddenlink…starred on two State Championship teams at Vashon – as a sophomore (2018) and a junior (2019)…led Vashon to the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 4 state semifinals before postseason play was canceled in 2020 because of the coronavirus...led Vashon to a 22-5 overall record and a 5-0 record in conference play before the season was suspended during the state tournament…averaged 16.8 points and 3.8 rebounds as a member of the Vashon varsity team as a junior…also a member of the track and field and football teams in high school.
PERSONAL: Born July 10, 2002…Cam’Ron is the son of Tamika Fletcher and Michael Henderson…has two brothers, Jalen and Jayden, and one sister, Raven…his brother, Jayden, played college basketball at Harris-Stowe University in Missouri…began playing basketball in the fifth grade…following his standout high school career, he picked Kentucky over Michigan State, North Carolina, Missouri Alabama, Arkansas and Creighton…major is social science.
