HONORS
2025 NABC Academic Honors Court

2025 ACC Academic Honor Roll

WHY I WEAR MY NUMBER
I wear No. 4 at Florida State because that’s the number my brother, Scottie, wore when he was a star player for the Seminoles in 2021.
Jason Simpson is the 14th player in school history to wear uniform No. 4.  It has been worn by two ACC Sixth Men of the Year (Patrick Williams in 2020 and Scottie Barnes in 2021), two NBA Draft Picks (Williams in 2020 by the Chicago Bulls and Dwayne Bacon in 2017 by the New Orleans Pelicans), and a current NBA assistant coach (Deividas Dulkys from 2009-12).

WHAT'S IN A NAME
My full name is Jason Carter Simpson.  My father wanted keep the same initials of JCS that runs in the family, and asked my oldest brother to pick the name and chose Jason.  He picked my first name, Jason, after the former basketball player Jason Kidd.

HOMETOWN
My hometown is West Palm Beach, Fla. which is an awesome place with beautiful weather, fantastic beaches, and great people.
