WHY I WEAR MY NUMBER
Daquan Davis -- I wear No. 5 at Florida State because that’s the number I wore as a senior in high school and it’s a number that I think looks great on a basketball uniform.
Daquan Davis is the 19th player in school history to wear uniform No. 5. Adrian Crawford, who is the Seminoles radio color analyst on the Seminole Sports Network from Legends, wore the number during his career as a Florida State player. Crawford averaged in double figures as a sophomore and a senior and made 135 career 3-point field goals.
WHAT'S IN A NAME
My full name is Daquan Dorian Davis. Daquan is a name that my parents liked. My parents wanted to name all three of the boys in the family with the letter D. My younger brothers are named Darrell and Dallas and my mom’s name is Dominique.
MY HOMETOWN
My hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, is the best city in the country. It’s great to reach your goals as a Baltimore native because it’s a city that embraces you as a total person and lifts you up to become a successful person
