Was a member of the 800 free relay that set the school record and finished fifth at the ACC Championships with an NCAA A time of 6:18.35…placed 20th in the 200 free with a time of 1:36.32 after clocking a personal best in prelims at 1:35.95…also competed in the 500 free (4:25.71) and 200 fly (1:47.80) at ACCs…placed 20th in the 50 free (20.40) after posting a time of 20.24 in prelims at the GT Invite…finished 12th in the 100 fly (47.34) and earned a second swim in the 200 free (1:41.25) after posting a time of 1:38.72 in prelims…was also 18th in the 200 fly (1:50.77) following a swim of 1:48.26 in prelims…took fourth in the 100 fly (48.88) and sixth in the 200 fly (1:52.59) against Pitt/GT…was fourth in the 200 fly (1:54.82) and fifth in the 100 fly (49.35) at No. 18 Minnesota…grabbed third in the 200 free (1:40.45) and fifth in the 100 fly (49.82) and was on the winning 400 free relay against No. 14 Arizona State…was third in the 200 free (1:40.39) against No. 3 UF…was the runner-up in the 200 fly (1:51.85) and took first place in the 100 fly (49.95) against Florida Southern… finished third in the 500 free (4:37.46) and 200 fly (1:52.06) at No. 18 Alabama…was the runner-up in the 100 free (46.00) and won the 500 free (4:35.13) against Florida Atlantic….won bronze at the 2019 Irish Open Championships in the 50m fly (24.45) and was also sixth in the 50m free (23.48)…added 11th place finishes in the 100m free (51.17) and 200m free (1:52.68).
High School
A versatile prospect from the Millfield School, which has produced several FSU greats such as Rob Holderness and Matt Shead, McCusker finished eighth in the 100m fly at the Swim England Winter Champs with a personal best of 55.09. He competed at the 2017 British Summer Championships in 2017. McCusker helped win the 2017 Arena League Cup for Millfield for the first time in 12 years, where he won the 100m fly (55.94).
