    Strength and Conditioning Coach

Emilio Medrano joined Florida State University as the Men’s Tennis Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2022. He designs and implements the strength program in the weight room and leads conditioning and change of direction drills on the court. Emilio assists with Beach and Indoor Volleyball’s strength and conditioning program, as well as other teams, while working towards his master’s degree in Sports Science.   

 

Emilio Medrano joins the Seminoles after a summer internship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. Emilio assisted the Wildcats with Volleyball and Swim, where he led freshmen and transfer athletes through their introductory strength programs.  

 

Prior to his time in Lexington, Emilio spent two years interning at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Medrano helped the Gators with the implementation of the strength program for Track and Field, Cross Country, Swim, as well as Women’s Basketball, Tennis, and Volleyball.  

 

Emilio is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and USA Weightlifting. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology – Exercise Science from the University of Florida in 2022.
