In his first season as an assistant coach, Hudson helped the Seminoles put together one of the most dominant runs of the century in women's college soccer. FSU finished the season 22-0-1 and cruised their way to a National Championship to become the first undefeated National Champion since 2011. FSU outscored their opponents 21-1 in the NCAA Tournament including a dominant 5-1 win over Stanford in the National Championship Game. FSU's five goals were the most the Cardinal had given up since 2000 and were the most goals in the title game since 2003.

Several individuals found great success with the help of Hudson in 2023, none more than Onyi Echegini. Echegini earned the MAC Hermann Trophy, the Honda Sport Award for women's soccer and was the ACC Player of the Year. The Seminoles posted a school record five All-Americans and seven players from the 2023 team have signed professional contracts.

As a team in 2023, FSU broke the school record for goals per game, assists per game and points per game and had the second-most goals, assists and points in school history. FSU also broke the school record for goals in ACC play, and their 36 goals were the second-most in ACC history.

As the volunteer assistant coach, Hudson has helped the program to three ACC Championships in 2020, 2021 and 2022 an NCAA Runner-up finish in 2020, and a National Championship in 2021.
