Cross Country: Limited to two meets by illness, but continued to show progress…ran 20:11.6 to place 31st at the UAH Charger Open in her season debut…came back with a 5k cross country collegiate-best at the FSU Invitational, closing in 18:48.8 to place 40th against a huge field on her home course.
2018-19
Cross Country: Lined up for two meets…ran 19:07.9 at Mountain Dew Invitational in her debut…placed 11th overall at the Bobcat Invitational as the Noles recorded a win, posting a time of 23:06.2 in her first 6k race. Indoor: did not compete. Outdoor: Focused primarily on the 1500 and improved in each of three starts at that distance…ran a rock-solid 18:18.80 5000 at the FSU Relays in her collegiate debut at that distance…capped her year by running 4:46.25 1500 PB at the UNF Invitational, placing ninth.
PERSONAL:
Selected Providence High Female Athlete of the Year as a senior…was fifth at the 2018 NCHSAA 4A state indoor meet in the mile…racked up three 4A West All-Region and four South Mecklenburg All-Conference honors…two-time team MVP…owns PBs of 18:39.70 (5k XC), 11:51.13 (3200) and 5:13.35 (1600)…outstanding in the classroom, earning AP Scholar Award…daughter of Jim Parrish and Barbara and Dale Howard…pursuing double major in criminology and social work…born December 6, 1999.
