Hamilton, Green Jr, Miller At ACC Tip-Off Wednesday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Florida State Seminoles will bring the Garnet and Gold to North Carolina on Wednesday, Oct. 25, when Head Coach Leonard Hamilton, and star players Darin Green Jr. and Baba Miller represent the Seminoles at the annual ACC Basketball Tip-Off for a full day of press conferences, interviews, photo shoots and network television appearances as the start of the 2023-24 season quickly approaches.

The Seminoles play host to a pair of exhibition games against Flagler College (Oct 29; 4:00 p.m.) and against Valdosta State (Nov. 5, 4:00 p.m.), before playing their regular season home opener against Kennesaw State (Nov. 10, 6:00 p.m.). All three games will be played at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

Florida State begins its day on October 25 at 9 a.m. with appearances on local and national radio stations from 9:00 – 9:30 a.m.  The Seminoles' main stage press conference will feature Green Jr., Miller, and Hamilton beginning at 11:00. Fans can watch the press conference featuring Hamilton, Green Jr., and Miller on ACCNX (Watch ESPN app).  Hamilton will appear live on the ACC network at 11:45 a.m. while the Seminoles' players can be seen on the ACC Network at 1:15 p.m.

Green Jr. is Florida State's leading returning scorer as he averaged a career-high 13.4 points per game (second on the team) in his first season as a Seminole. He led the Seminoles with 91 made 3-point shots, a .364 3-point shooting percentage, and was the only FSU player to play in all 32 games in 2023. Green, Jr. enters his senior season with 299 career made 3-point field goals.

Miller, who is in his second season with the Seminoles, is one of the top returning players in the ACC. He averaged 9.4 points and 6.0 rebounds as he helped lead Spain to the U-19 FIBA World Championship this past summer. Miller scored his career-high of 12 points against Clemson (Feb 15, 2023) and led the Seminoles in rebounding four times during his freshman season.

Hamilton is the most successful coach in Florida State history with 604 victories and the fifth winningest coach in ACC history. He enters the 2023-24 season ranked 23rd among active coaches for career victories as he begins his 22nd season as the head coach of the Seminoles.
