Noles Hit Road to Face No. 8 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Florida State baseball team (12-9) will travel to #8 Virginia (19-2) for a three-game series this weekend at Davenport Field. All three games will start at 1:00 p.m. and air on ACCNX; additionally, fans in Tallahassee can listen on WFLA 100.7 FM or around the country through TuneIn or the FSU Gameday app.

After a tough loss Tuesday night to No. 3 Florida, where the Noles were leading for the majority of the game before the Gators scored the final eight runs of the contest to win 9-5, FSU (12-9) is looking to turn things around as they continue their ACC play this weekend as they travel to face No. 8 Virginia (19-2).
Sophomore James Tibbs III leads the FSU offense with a .395 batting average through twenty-one games. Tuesday against the Gators, Tibbs went 2-for-3 with two walks, extending his on-base streak to a season-high 14 games. He has reached safely in 63 of his 66 career starts and his 21 walks are 14 more than the next closest Seminole.
FSU leads the all-time series with Virginia, 60-31, including a win in their last matchup 14-7 in Tallahassee.
