No. 6 Soccer Begins 2023 Season on the Road at Texas A&M

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 6 Florida State women's soccer team kicks off their 2023 campaign on Thursday night as they head into a hostile environment to play Texas A&M at 8 p.m. on SEC Network at Ellis Field in College Station, Texas. Mike Watts (Play By Play) and Jill Loyden will be on the call for SEC Network.

Returning Experience
Florida State returns 13 players from last year's team including eight starters. The Seminoles have eight seniors on this year's roster. The senior class has combined to win three ACC Championships, one National Championship while also qualifying to three College Cups.
Returning Production
The Seminoles return 63% of their point scorers from last year as well as ACC Goalkeeper of the Year and Third Team All-American Cristina Roque. The Seminoles return their top three goal scorers from last season in Onyi Echegini, Jody Brown and Beata Olsson.
Hitting the Portal
The Seminoles brought in four transfers with a lot of experience at the Power Five level. The Noles brought in Lily Farkas (Michigan), Taylor Huff (Tennessee), Leah Pais (Pitt) and Claire Rain (Tennessee). The four athletes have combined four 144 starts led by Rain and Huff who started 41 and 40 matches, respectively for Tennessee.
Fresh New Faces
The Seminoles bring in a very talented freshman class with the additions of Jordynn Dudley, Peyton Nourse, Maggie Taitano, Adelyn Todd and Amelia Van Zanten. The class was ranked third by TopDrawer Soccer.
Dominance Away From Home
The Seminoles are also impressive away from the friendly confines of the Seminole Soccer Complex, posting a true road record of 51-18-10 (.709) since 2013, as well as a neutral site mark of 25-6-4 (.771). FSU has lost just 18 times in its last 81 road games.

The Seminoles have been 44-16-3 against the SEC. The Seminoles have played rival Florida the most out of any of the SEC schools. The Seminoles hold a 15-13 record against the Gators and a 39-3-3 record against all other SEC opponents.
Success in the Non-Con
The Seminoles have been dominant in non-conference play in recent history. FSU holds a streak of 15 consecutive games where the Noles have not been beaten holding a record of 13-0-2. USC was the last team to defeat the Noles back on Sept. 1, 2019
