Holbrook, Arnold Lead Seminoles to First Series Victory

Holbrook had a picturesque day at the plate hitting 3-for-3, scoring three runs, and five RBI. All records were career-best numbers for the senior catcher and his home run was his first as a Seminole.
Arnold began his sophomore season with a new career-high in nine strikeouts, did not walk a batter and allowed no earned runs in his start. He pitched 5.0 innings, marking his second-longest career outing on the mound.
In relief, Brennen Oxford and Ryan Denison each struck out two batters. With 14 more strikeouts Sunday, the pitching staff recorded 36 strikeouts in the two-game opening series.
Drew Faurot added three hits and is hitting .500 through two games. Jaime Ferrer plated a run with an RBI triple and James Tibbs III got FSU on the board in the first inning with an RBI double.
The Seminoles stole seven bases Sunday, its most in a game since 2016. FSU stole four bases in the second inning alone, matching its game high from the previous seven seasons.
