Noles Open ACC Action With Notre Dame

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State baseball takes an undefeated 15-0 record into ACC play when the Seminoles host Notre Dame for a three-game series beginning Friday at Dick Howser Stadium. All three games will stream on ACC Network Extra with Shawn Davison and Chris Chavez on the call.

Florida State improved to 15-0 with a 12-8 win at No. 8 Florida on Tuesday night. FSU's 15-0 record is tied for the third-best in program history, behind a 23-0 start to the 2007 season and a 16-0 start in 2013. FSU and Texas A&M are the final two remaining undefeated teams in the country.
Florida State ranks in the Top 10 nationally in 11 categories – batting average (2nd, .376), sacrifice flies (2nd, 19), strikeouts per nine innings (2nd, 13.5), hits (3rd, 207), scoring (4th, 12.0 runs/game), shutouts (4th, 3), slugging percentage (4th, .627), ERA (6th, 2.93), doubles per game (7th, 2.73), on-base percentage (7th, .468) and runs (9th, 180).
Individually, Jamie Arnold is one of three qualifying pitches (at least 1.0 inning pitched per team game played) that has not allowed an earned run. His 23.0 inning streak without an earned run dates to the final game of the 2023 season.
Cam Smith leads the country in hits per game (2.2) and Marco Dinges is the national leader with six sacrifice flies.
Notre Dame is 11-5 overall and 0-3 in the ACC after getting swept by Virginia Tech last weekend. Florida State head coach Link Jarrett led the Fighting Irish from 2020-22, culminating in the program's third College World Series appearance in school history.
