TALLAHASSEE – The No. 4 Florida State beach volleyball team defeated Houston Christian and No. 20 Tampa 5-0 on Friday at the Tampa Invitational. This marks the eighth 5-0 sweep for the Noles this season as they improved to 9-0 in 2024.
FSU opened the day with a statement, winning all five courts in two sets against Houston Christian. The effort was headlined by a dominant second set on court two where junior Audrey Koenig and graduate student Raelyn White defeated Abbey Bufkin and Mary Alper, 21-8.
Similar to their previous meeting, the Seminoles denied the Spartans all sets. Maddie Anderson and Skyler Germann ended the duel with an exclamation mark, defeating Olivia Margolies and Payton Brunick 21-11 in the second set.
The Seminoles will be back Saturday morning where they are set to play Coastal Carolina at 8 a.m. and FGCU at 2 p.m.
