No. 17 Florida State Finishes Regular Season at Miami

TALLAHASSEE - The No. 17 Florida State men's tennis team will play its final match of the regular season at in-state rival Miami this weekend.
The Seminoles will face Miami at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. FSU has led the series in recent history with a 10-6 record over the Hurricanes since 2010.
Florida State is 16-7 this season, including 7-1 on the road. The Seminoles are currently 6-5 in ACC play with five conference road victories and can equal their highest number of total road wins since 1984. FSU has nine wins against teams currently ranked, highlighted by victories over No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 12 Mississippi State, and No. 22 Alabama.
Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc earned another ranked singles win last weekend with a gritty 6-4, 7-6 (4) straight-sets victory over NC State on Court 1. The top-ranked player in the ACC, Cornut-Chauvinc holds a 18-2 record with 14 ranked victories and 15 straight-set wins. In doubles, Cornut-Chauvinc and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif took one of their best wins of the season with a dominant 6-2 victory on Court 1 to earn their fourth ranked win of the season.
The newest ITA rankings were released Tuesday. Cornut-Chauvinc remained in the top-five for a fourth straight weekend as he is ranked No. 4 in the nation while he and Dous-Karpenschif rose up 11 spots to No. 22 in doubles. Florida State marked its 30th straight week in the top-25 in the team rankings as it checked in at No. 17.
