No. 15 Seminoles Set To Host Florida On Friday Night

TALLAHASSEE - The No. 15 Florida State men's tennis team will host in-state rival Florida on Friday evening at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center.
FSU and Florida are set for the 89th meeting in the series history at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Seminoles will host Florida in a dual match for the first time since 2015.
The Seminoles swept the Gators 4-0 in the last matchup, Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc and Alex Bulte took dominant straight-set wins on Court 1 and 6, respectively, before senior Loris Pourroy sealed the victory with a 7-5, 6-3 performance on Court 2.
Florida State has begun the season at 6-2 with four home-clinching sweeps and several key singles and doubles wins. Alex Bulte and Youcef Rihane continued their impressive doubles form, earning a 6-1 victory on Court 1 over the UNF pairing, extending their 2025 unbeaten streak to seven matches. Joshua Dous-Karpenschif and Erik Schiessl clinched two doubles points in consecutive days at the ITA Kickoff Weekend inducing a comeback victory over No. 15 San Diego.
Jamie Connel won his fifth singles match of the spring after a 6-2, 6-1 win on Court 1 over North Florida to improve to 13-4 on the season. Bulte performed brilliantly with his first career win on Court 2 over No. 15 San Diego, marching back after dropping the first with two clinical 6-4 sets to seal the win. Erik Schiessl and Azariah Rusher each claimed straight-set victories over North Florida in singles play.
The match will be featured as a Spear-It Rewards match with double points available for attending. Concessions will also be available at the Speicher Tennis Center. Live video and stats will be available on Seminoles.com.
