TAMPA – Kobe MaGee scored 21 points, which was tied for a game-high, and Martin Somerville added 9 in Florida State's 95-59 loss to Texas A&M in the Battle in the Bay in Tampa. MaGee's 21 is his season-high and the most points he has scored as a Seminole. Robert McCray V led all players with 11 assists. This would be the sixth time McCray led Florida State in assists, and the second time this season he finished with double-digits in that category. McCray leads the Seminoles with 55 assists this season.

Florida State falls to 5-2, and Texas A&M improves to 6-2.

MaGee scored 18 of his 21 points in the second half. Three of MaGee's 3-pointers also came in the second half. His total of four made 3-point shots tied his season high of four, set against Alabama State on Nov. 7, 2025.

Texas A&M opened the game on an 11-0 run. Somerville got the Seminoles on the board with a made 3-point shot.

Along with Somerville's nine points, he finished with five rebounds and set a career-high of five steals. His previous high was four, which he recorded against three different teams, but most recently in the game against UT Martin on Nov. 18 (earlier this season). Somerville leads Florida State with 19 steals this season.

The Aggies led 19-3 at the 15:09 mark of the first half. Lajae Jones scored Florida State's second 3-point shot of the game to cut the lead to 13.

Over the next four minutes, Texas A&M outscored Florida State 10-5 and led 29-11 with 11:30 left to go in the first half. A slam from Shah Muhammad and a fast break layup by AJ Swinton cut the Aggie lead to 14 with just under 10 minutes remaining.

Muhammad played his season-high of 12 minutes and finished the game with three points. Muhammad has now scored in consecutive games for the first time this season.

Florida State trailed Texas A&M 52-24 at halftime. This would be the first time the Seminoles trailed heading into halftime this season.

MaGee opened the second half, scoring 10 of the Seminoles' first nine points. Six of MaGee's points over that stretch came from the 3-point line.

Through the first 10 minutes of the second half, Florida State outscored the Aggies 18-11, including an 11-0 run capped by a jump shot from McCray V, with 12:02 left in the game.

With 8:14 remaining in the second half, the Seminoles would go on an 8-0 run capped by another MaGee 3-point make. MaGee scored six of the eight points over this run.

Texas A&M's Ruben Dominguez scored 21 points for the Aggies and made seven 3-point shots.

Florida State returns to the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee next Tuesday, December 2, to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the ACC/SEC Challenge.
