ON SOMERVILLE
Enters his second season of collegiate basketball with three seasons of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2025-26 season…the 2025 America East Rookie of the Year, named to the 2025 America East All-Rookie Team, named as the conference’s Rookie of the Week a record 11 times during the 2024-25 season…his 11 Rookie of the Week honors broke the previous record of 10 by Tunji Awojobi’s during the 1993-94 season…entered the transfer portal on March 11, 2025 and committed to Seminole head coach Luke Loucks on April 18, 2025…selected Florida State over Brigham Young as he pledged his commitment to Loucks’ and his staff…also heard from Alabama, Boston College, Cal, Louisville, Memphis, Stanford, and Washington during the recruiting process following his freshman season…adds depth and a versatile shooter/playmaker to the Seminoles’ lineup…can play either guard spot with his ability to handle the ball as a point or shooting guard ball handler…s a high-level shooter that can shoot off the bounce and is a sensational in catch and shoot situations…totaled 10 games with three or more made 3-point shots and two games where he made six shots from distance in his one season at UMass Lowell. 

AS A FRESHMAN (2025)
Averaged 13.6 points (third on the team), 2.9 rebounds (sixth), 3.6 assists (first), and 1.5 steals (first) while shooting .405 percent from the 3-point line (first) in leading the River Hawks to a 17-15 overall record and a 6-10 record in American East conference play…shooting his one of his strengths as he shot .420 percent from the field, .405 percent from the 3-point line and .826 percent from the free throw line as a freshman…led his team with 75 3-point shots made and 16 assists, while tying for the lead with 95 free throws made…he was one of three players who shot better than 80 percent from the free throw line for the season…one of six players on the River Hawks team that played in each of the teams 32 game with 12 starting assignments...started 12 games as a freshman – including the final 10 games of the season…in averaging 13.6 points scored per game he scored 436 points – the third highest total among his teammates…in the top 20 in nine different statistical categories among the America East leaders…third in 3-point field goal shooting percentage, third in assist:turnover ratio (2.4:1), fifth in 3-point field goals made per game (2.3 3FGFM/Game), fourth in assists, fourth in free throw shooting, seventh in steals, 14th in scoring, 14th in minutes played, and 18th in field goal shooting…named the America East Rookie of the Week 11 times during his freshman season…with Rook of the Week honors coming on Nov. 11, Nov. 25, Dec. 2, Dec. 9, Dec. 16, Dec. 23, Dec. 31, Jan. 27, Feb. 3, Feb. 24, and March 3…his career-high of 26 points game on the Riverhawks’ 70-62 win over the New Jersey Institute of Technology (Jan. 11)…scored 22 points off of the River Hawks’ bench in an 83-71 win over Boston University (Dec. 21)..scored in double figures in 25 games – including 11 of the final 12 games of the season – during his only season at UMas Lowell…20 or more points came four times…his career-high of 26 came against NJIT on a perfect seven of seven free throws shooting (Jan. 11)…22 at UMass on a perfect six of six shooing from the free throw line (Dec. 7)…22 at Boston University on six of nine made 3-poiint field goals (Dec. 21)…and 21 at Saint Louis on six of 10 made 3-point shots (Nov. 27)….also scored in double figures in six consecutive games from November 20 against Fisher College on November 20 through a victory over UMass on December 7 when he totaled 100 points and averaged 14.3 point score per game…longest double figure scoring streak came in 11 consecutive games from January 25 against New Hampshire through March 4 at Maine for a total of 131 points and an average of 11.9 points scored per game…double figure scoring in his career debut with 17 points on five of seven made 3-pont shots against the Rivier University Raiders…his career-high for rebounds, seven, came against NJIT (Jan. 30) and at Maine (March 4)…totaled four or more rebounds in nine different game including 21 rebounds in his final four games of the season (5.3 rebounds per game) with six against Bryant (Feb. 27), four against Binghamton, seven against Maine, and four against Maine in the America East Tournament (March 8)…totaled his career-high of 13 assists against UMBC (Feb. 20) to establish the UMass Lowell Division I record for most assists in a game…led the River Hawks in assists with 116 and a 3.6 assists per game average…totaled his career-high of 13 assists in a 98-79 win over UMBC (Feb. 20)…first career double-double of 18 points and a career-high 132 assists came against UMBC…totaled five or more assists 10 times including 13 in a win over UMBC, nine against Binghamton University (March 1), eight against Emerson College (Dec. 30) and eight against New Hampshire (Feb. 15)…as the River Hawks’ leader in steals, he earned his career high with four steals at Binghamton (Feb. 6) and at Vermont (Feb. 22)..three or more steals came seven times and multiple steals came in 14 different games.

Graduated from the Southern California Academy in 2024…played his prep basketball at Southern California Academy where he averaged 14 points and 5 assists per game…Southern California Academy is a basketball and academic based institution focused on development, exposure, and winning culture with teams at the high school and post graduate levels…in Martin’s year at Southern California Academy, his team competed in the OTE league located in Atlanta, Ga. under the team name and sponsorship of Rolling Loud…earned numerous collegiate playing offers including from Rice, South Alabama, Georgia Mason, San Jose State, William & Mary, and Bucknell before deciding on UMass Lowell.
