A member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida…believed to be the first NCAA Division I men’s basketball player from the Seminole Tribe…played in the Native American Basketball Invitational in Phoenix during the Summer of 2025…For over two decades, NABI has established itself the largest and most prestigious all-Native American basketball tournament in North America…founded in 2003, it is supported by the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, many tribes, and corporations across the United States…over 2,400 athletes compete in the Native American Basketball Invitational.
IN THE NATIVE AMERICAN BASKETBALL INVITATIONAL (2025)
Helped lead the Unconquered team to a 6-1 overall record in the three-day event at the Native American Basketball Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz. (July 23-25)…helped lead the Unconquered team to a 3-0 record and pool play which qualified them to the single elimination bracket…Unconquered won its first three games in bracket play and advanced to the Final 16 of the tournament before falling to the Young Gunz team…Osceola led his Unconquered team to victories over Tha Tribe (67-40), Hinjirawi (51-40), the Apache Scouts (69-41), the Hualapai Tribe (68-38), Nast’Ogha (84-43) and the Rockhawks (92-62) before it fell to the Young Gunz (63-45) in the round of 16.
BEFORE FLORIDA STATE
Graduated from the Nova Southeastern University School in 2025…served as team captain during his senior season… averaged 15.3 points, 5.2 assists and 2.2 steals as a senior in 2025…earned All-Broward County Honorable Mention honors in 2024-25 as a senior as named by the South Florida Sun Sentinel Newspaper…scored his NSU career-high of 30 points against Naples High School during his senior season…played in 21 games as a sophomore and scored in double figures in five games as a sophomore including 14 points against Pine Crest and 12 against Somerset Academy…attended Calusa Prep as a junior in 2023-24…averaged 16.5 points, 6.1 assists and 4.2 rebounds in his only season at Calusa…established the school record for points in a game scoring 45 points vs True North high School…set the school record for most points in a three-game stretch – 107 with 32, 45, and 30 in three consecutive games…earned Second Team All-Conference honors in the Sunshine Independent Athletic Association in 2024.

Born October 20, 2005…Xavier is the son of Tasha Osceola…joins Zae Thomas (a freshman defensive back on the Florida State football team) as Florida State student-athletes during the 2025-26 academic year…Xavier’s late grandfather, Joe Dan Osceola, was offered a football scholarship to attend Florida State in 1954…Joe Dan is a former President/Vice Chair of the Seminole tribe…seeking a career in the field of sports management and marketing so that he may use his leadership and communication skills in order to inspire others, promote excellence, and elevate the image of Native athletes across the country...major is exploratory.
