Softball To Host Fifth Annual Player's Weekend

4/3/2025 4:47:00 PM | Softball

TALLAHASSEE - Florida State softball will host its fifth annual Player's Weekend this weekend against Virginia. Team 42 and staff will be wearing special uniforms and shirts with a special name on the back of their respective uniform.

"We are taking a moment this weekend to honor, celebrate, thank, or recognize someone or something that is special to us," said Head Coach Lonni Alameda. "This weekend is an inside look into Team 42 and our staff. The person behind the jersey is special and we want to share some of those meanings this weekend with you all. The players will personally post their stories, and our social sites will post a few each day. We hope you join us in celebrating FSU Softball players."

All weekend long, FSU will be sharing these stories throughout the games at JoAnne Graf Field. Fans can also view these stories on each player's bios on Seminoles.com. Fans can also scan the QR codes on the player cards on the windows of the softball building.

The Seminoles enter this weekend 34-5 with a perfect 9-0 record in ACC play. FSU has won 14 consecutive games and 23 out of its last 25 games. All three games this weekend can be seen on ACCNX with Friday's game available on the radio on 96.5 FM The Spear and the FSU Gameday App. Tickets for Friday and Saturday are sold out, but tickets may become available on Seat Geek.
