Redshirt Senior (2025):
Finished the season with a 12-2 record in 78 innings with a 2.96 ERA and 77 strikeouts...Pitched in 4.1 innings and logged eight strikeouts between two games in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge (2/6-2/7)... Pitched in 4.0 innings, logging four strikeouts and only giving up one earned run during the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational (2/13-2/16)... Pitched in 6.2 innings and recorded four strikeouts between two games in the JoAnne Graf Classic (2/21-2/22)... Pitched 11.1 innings over the course of the Dugout Club Classic, going 3-0, recording 15 strikeouts, no walks, and only gave up two runs (2/27-3/1) including a season-high nine strikeouts against Charleston... Pitched in 4.0 innings, notching five strikeouts and only giving up two hits against Jacksonville (3/5)... Pitched in 4.1 innings and logged three strikeouts versus Oregon State (3/8)... Pitched in 2.1 innings and recorded four strikeouts against Portland State (3/11)... Pitched in 4.0 innings, registering two strikeouts and only giving up two hits against Pitt to improve to 9-0 for the season (3/15)... Pitched 2.2 innings at Alabama, improving to 10-0 on the season with zero earned runs, zero hits, and four strikeouts (3/19)... In a weekend series at Duke, pitched 2.0 innings, walking zero (3/21-3/23)... Pitched 2.0 innings against Stetson, striking out one, and not allowing a hit or a run to come across the plate (3/26)... Improved to 11-0 on the season after pitching 1.2 innings across two games against NC State, only allowing two hits combined (3/28-3/30)... Pitched in 3.2 innings between two games in a weekend series against Virginia (4/4-4/5)... Pitched in 4.0 innings against California, collecting two strikeouts and improving to 12-0 for the season (4/12)...Allowed just one earned run in 6.2 innings of work in three appearances at the ACC Tournament. Threw 2.2 scoreless innings against Robert Morris in the Tallahassee Regional...Did not allow an earned run in 4 innings during the Tallahassee Super Regional against Texas Tech. 

2024 at Hofstra
A Second Team All-Northeast Region selection, Apsel took the reins in 2024 and became the ace inside the circle for Hofstra...Apsel made 33 appearances in the circle for the Pride including 31 starts as she pitched a team-high 201.2 innings...Apsel posted a 1.39 ERA and a 19-12 record for the Pride...In 31 starts, Apsel went the distance in 20 of those starts. Her 20 complete games ranked 15th in the country...The Second Team All-CAA selection's 1.39 ERA was ranked 10th in the entire country and her 176 strikeouts was ranked 37th in the country...Apsel performed phenomenally against Power Five opponents this season...Against the NCAA Tournament qualifying Penn State Nittany Lions, Apsel threw 6.1 innings and allowed just two earned runs on seven hits while striking out three...Against the National Runner-Up Texas Longhorns, Apsel pitched 6.0 innings and allowed just four runs to one of the nation's top offenses...Apsel and the Pride were one of just two non-Power Five teams to hold Texas to five runs or less this season and was one of three unranked teams to hold the Longhorns to under five runs this season...Maybe Apsel's most impressive performance of the 2024 season came against Missouri who entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 7 overall seed and was one win away from the Women's College world Series...Apsel shut down the Tigers as she pitched all nine innings of the thriller and allowed just two runs on four hits to the Tigers while striking out six...Apsel earned CAA All-Tournament Team honors as she started every game in the CAA Conference Tournament for the Pride...In four games, Apsel pitched 26.2 innings and allowed just three earned runs while recording 24 strikeouts...In her final 12 appearances of 2024, Apsel allowed just 11 earned runs in 73.2 innings. 


2023 at Hofstra
Appeared in 33 games with 20 starts inside the circle…Tied for fourth in the CAA with 10 wins…Led the team with 117.1 innings pitched and tallied six complete games…Recorded three saves against Yale (Mar. 5), UMBC (Mar. 23), and Stony Brook in the CAA Softball Championship (May 12)…Finished second on the team with 67 strikeouts…Struck out a season-high six batters on four separate occasions against Central Michigan (Mar. 3), North Carolina A&T (Apr. 2), Elon (Apr. 22), and Stony Brook in the CAA Softball Championship (May 10).

2022 at Hofstra
CAA All-Rookie Team…Made 21 appearances in the circle including 13 starts…Recorded a 6-9 record and…Tossed a team-high 95.0 innings including a team-high five complete-games…Struck out 61 batters which was second on the team…Registered a .245 batting average again…Finished with a 2.87 ERA which was 10th in the conference at the conclusion of Hofstra’s season…Struck out a season-high six batters on three occasions, first in a 10-2 victory over Western Michigan on 3/5 again later in the season in a 4-3 victory over Charleston, for a third time in a 6-5 win over James Madison…Pitched 4.2 hitless innings in that same performance against James Madison where she also did not allow a walk or run…Struck out four total batters across her two performance against #3/3 Florida state on 2/25 and 2/26.

2021 at Hofstra
Missed the 2021 season due to injury.

Named to the Courier News All-Area First Team and Skyland Conference First Team in 2019...Posted a 1.75 ERA in 2019... Led North Hunterdon a Sectional Championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019...Team won the State Championship in 2018...An honor roll student.
