No. 11 Noles Jump to Lead at Tallahassee Regional

TALLAHASSEE – The No. 11 Florida State men's golf team holds a seven-stroke lead after the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tallahassee Regional, held at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

The Seminoles used the home course advantage, jumping to the lead early after all five players birdied the fourth hole. All five players finished the round under par.

The top-ranked amateur in the world, Luke Clanton holds a one-stroke lead after shooting 6-under, 66 in the opening round. Clanton, who completed the round without a bogey, carded four birdies and added an eagle on the 14th hole.

Tyler Weaver finished the first round 4-under, 68 and is tied for fourth place. Weaver registered five birdies.

Carson Brewer also posted a bogey-free round, shooting 2-under, 70 and is tied for 11^th place with Gray Albright.

Jack Bigham posted back-to-back birdies on the fourth and fifth holes and again on 17 and 18 to close the round 1-under, 71, tied for 16th.

Florida State will tee off on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. from the first hole and will be paired with Notre Dame and No. 5 Ole Miss.
