TALLAHASSEE – Seven Florida State soccer players have been named to the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced on Thursday.
Junior Yuna McCormack, sophomores Wrianna Hudson, Peyton McGovern, Janet Okeke, Taylor Suarez and Solai Washington and freshman goalkeeper Kate Ockene earned this year's honors.
McCormack is recognized for the third time in her three-year collegiate career, while McGovern, Suarez and Washington both are now two-time awardees. Hudson, Ockene and Okeke are all bestowed with the honors for the first time.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a minimum 3.0 grade point average for the previous two semesters and a 3.0 cumulative GPA for one's academic career, while being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's athletic contests.
As a team, FSU earned a 3.473 GPA in the fall 2025 semester. Twelve players were recognized on the Dean's List and two on the President's List. Three graduate students, who are not eligible for either FSU or ACC distinctions, posted at least a 3.50 GPA.
McGovern, Okeke and Washington also were three of six Seminoles named to the Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators.
On the field, Suarez was recognized as a Second Team All-American in 2025, while Hudson and Suarez earned All-Region accolades. Hudson, Ockene, McGovern and Suarez were named to the College Cup All-Tournament Team, with Hudson and Ockene being named the Offensive and Defensive Most Outstanding Players, respectively. Hudson and Suarez also were named Second Team All-ACC.
FSU's seven All-ACC Academic Team honorees helped the Seminoles win their fifth national title with a 16-2-4 overall record in 2025. The NCAA title is FSU's third in the last five years and second in three.
