TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State volleyball team (8-6, 3-1 ACC) hosts Jacksonville (7-9, 1-2 ASUN) Wednesday at 6 p.m. inside Tully Gymnasium.
The Seminoles are hosting the Dolphins for the first time since 2014, when the two programs met in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Wednesday will mark the first regular season meeting between the two teams since the FSU Classic in 2003.
Florida State is 38-0 all-time against Jacksonville and has won 20 consecutive sets against the Dolphins dating back to 1998.
The Seminoles are coming off consecutive sweeps for the first time this season after defeating NC State and Wake Forest last weekend.
Senior outside hitter Kyleene Filimaua surpassed 1,000 career digs against Wake Forest, becoming the 14th Seminole in program history to reach the milestone.
Filimaua continues to rank among the ACC's top players, ranking in the top five in multiple categories, including aces per set, points, service aces and total kills.
Filimaua leads the Seminoles in points (252), kills (212), digs (141) and aces (27).
Junior opposite hitter Bailey Higgins is coming off one of her strongest performances of the season, leading FSU with 14.5 points and 11 kills against Wake Forest. Higgins also added seven digs in the victory.
