BRIGHTON —  The No. 10 Florida State softball team (45-8, 20-3) clinched a share of its 19th ACC Regular Season Championship on Saturday evening with a 8-0 win in six innings over Boston College (13-37, 3-20). The Noles offense got going right way in the top of the first as a walk from Jaysoni Beachum and a single from Danley put traffic on the base paths for the Noles. Bella Ruggiero drove in the game's first two runs with a RBI single to put the Noles up 2-0 after one.

After a scoreless second, Isa Torres reached on an error, and Beachum blasted her eighth homer of the year over the scoreboard to put the Noles up 4-0.

Shelby McKenzie drew a walk to in the fourth inning, and Hayley Griggs smoked a home run to deep center to extend the lead to 6-0. Torres kept the rally going with a double to left, and Beachum picked up her fifth RBI of the series to put the Noles up seven.

Griggs picked up another hit with a single in the sixth, and Makenna Sturgis drove her home with a double down the left field line to put the Noles in run-rule territory. The Eagles got two out of their three hits in the sixth thinning, but Danley struck out the final batter to complete the shutout.

The Noles will go for the outright ACC Regular Season Championship tomorrow at 5 p.m. on the ACC Network.
