Noles Continue Homestand Against FIU, North Alabama

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State volleyball team (4-3) remains at home for a pair of matches, hosting FIU (4-4) on Sunday at noon before welcoming North Alabama (9-0) to Tully Gym on Monday at 6 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast live on ACCNX.
Florida State enters the weekend coming off a 3-1 win over Louisiana on Wednesday. After dropping the opening set, the Seminoles responded by winning three consecutive sets to close out the match.
The Seminoles have been one of the nation's top offensive teams through their first seven matches. Florida State ranks second nationally with 387 team assists and fourth with 408 team kills.
Senior outside hitter Kyleene Filimaua has paced the Seminoles offensively, ranking ninth nationally with 132 points and 18th with 109 kills. She also leads Florida State with 17 service aces, which ranks 14th in the country.
Florida State owns a 25-6 all-time record against FIU, with the series dating back to 1973. The Seminoles are 9-0 against the Panthers at home, including a sweep in the most recent matchup in 2012.
Florida State and North Alabama have met six times, and the Seminoles hold a 5-1 advantage in the series, with the most recent meeting resulting in a 2-0 Florida State victory in 1976. Monday will mark the first meeting between the two programs inside Tully Gymnasium.
