Swimming and Diving to Host Garnet & Gold Meet on Friday

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State swimming and diving teams will begin the 2026-27 season with the annual Garnet & Gold Meet at 3 p.m. on Friday at the Morcom Aquatics Center. Admission is free. 

The intersquad scrimmage will feature 14 events with the women's events followed by the men's events. Diving will run simultaneously.

The captains of the Garnet team will be junior swimmers Alice Velden, Maryn McDade, and Logan Robinson. The Gold team will be led by junior swimmer Amelia Marek, senior swimmer Gustav Olsson, junior swimmer Fred Lindholm, and senior diver Jack Bessire.

The Seminoles will begin the regular season with the Seminole Fall Classic on Oct. 9-10, beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
