Olsson Named ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Sophomore soccer player Beata Olsson was named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after defeating Clemson 4-1 on the road. Olsson earns the Seminoles’ fourth ACC Player of the Week honor this season.

Olsson helped lead Florida State to a win over Clemson with a two-goal game in Florida State’s 4-1 win over the Tigers. Her goals came a minute and four seconds apart in the second half as her first goal came in the 63rd minute.

The game marked her second two-goal game of the season as she scored two against Florida on September 2. Olsson leads the Seminoles in goals scored (8) and points (17). FSU also won their 14th straight ACC game, 10th straight road game and 21st straight regular-season game with the win over Clemson. It also marked head coach Mark Krikorian’s 300th win at Florida State

Florida State is back home this week as they take on Syracuse on Thursday, October 7 at 7 pm and Miami on Sunday, October 10 at noon.
