FRESHMAN (2021):

Made eight starts over 11 appearances, finishing 0-1 with a 4.50 earned run average…struck out 39 batters in 28.0 innings pitched…started the first two weekends of the season before moving to a midweek role…did not allow a run in his ACC Tournament debut against Duke on May 26…struck out nine batters in back-to-back starts against Florida on March 16 and UCF on March 24…finished one out shy of earning his first win against the Gators, throwing 4.2 innings and allowing two runs in the Seminoles 10-2 win…did not allow an earned run at Florida on April 13, throwing 4.1 innings…also reached 4.2 innings against Jacksonville on April 6…did not allow an earned run in either of his first two starts, throwing a combined five innings against North Florida and Pitt.


Graduated from Windermere High School in Windermere, Florida…ranked the No. 1 RHP and No. 3 overall in Florida by Perfect Game…highest-rated player in MLB Draft Top 200 list history to play for the Seminoles (No. 34 at time of MLB Draft)…Perfect Game and Under Armour All-American…struck out the side at the Under Armour All-American Game…honor roll and Economics Senior Award at Windermere…parents are Connie and Corey Montgomery…sister Callie and brother Cameron…brother played baseball at USF and Rollins…grandfather played in the Cincinnati Reds organization…majoring in finance…born on August 13, 2002.
