2015:

Worked 6.0 innings in 10 relief appearances during his first season as a Seminole…made his Florida State debut on opening day against Oakland (2/13) allowing a run on three hits as he struck out one in an inning in relief…threw a season-high 1.2 innings against Boston College (3/8)…threw a scoreless inning in relief against USF (3/3) and Wake Forest (3/14).

SANTA FE COLLEGE:

As a freshman, made a team-high 25 appearances for the Saints…pitched 46.1 innings with a 3.11 ERA…finished second on the team in wins and tied for the lead in saves…named to the All-State Academic Team and Dean’s List…in 2014, represented the Saints in the FCSAA All-Star Game…led the team with 17 appearances, going 38.2 innings with a 3.49 ERA…led team in saves…allowed only two walks and did not have a loss on the year…named to the All-American Academic Team and Dean’s List…received the NJCAA Exemplary Academic Achievement Award.

HIGH SCHOOL:

Graduated from Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Fla….named the team’s Pitcher of the Year as a senior in 2012…helped lead the Bobcats to the regional semifinals as a senior, the team’s best season since 2009.

PERSONAL:

Son of Jimmie and Gayle Vail…has one sister, Alix…mother played college basketball at Creighton…majoring in sport management…born May 7, 1994.
