Played four seasons at West Virginia after redshirting at Morehead State in 2019…Mountaineers’ all-time appearance leader for a pitcher with 76…was 4-0 with a 3.65 ERA in 2023 and held opponents to a .209 batting average against…was on the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List to begin 2022, when he struck out 33 batters over 24 relief appearances…led the team with 25 appearances in 2021 and finished with a 2.51 ERA in 28.2 innings…struck out 38 batters in 2021…pitched in three games as a redshirt freshman…was ranked as the No. 1 RHP and No. 5 overall player in West Virginia by Perfect Game coming out of Hurricane High School…helped lead Hurricane to a state championship in 2018…parents are Gary and Jennifer Short…brother Alan…graduated from West Virginia with a finance degree and a Masters of Business Administration and is working towards his athletic coaching certificate…born on December 15, 1999.
