Jacob Frye is in his third year as an equipment coordinator at Florida State in 2025 and works with the Seminoles' baseball, men's tennis and women's tennis programs.

Frye came to FSU after more than four years of full-time roles at Marshall, a tenure that included time as the interim director of equipment services. In his interim role, he oversaw the equipment operations for all sports in addition to supervising the equipment staff's student managers. Frye was hired as Marshall's assistant director of equipment services in the summer of 2019. His duties included purchasing, inventory and budgeting for equipment, uniform and apparel needs across the department.

He spent all four years of his undergraduate time at Marshall as a student manager for The Herd. Additionally, Frye was selected for a summer internship with the Baltimore Ravens in 2018.

Frye earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Marshall in 2019.
