WHY I WEAR MY NUMBER
I wear No. 12 at Florida State because it has always been my favorite number.  It’s the only number I’ve ever worn as a basketball player.  Not only is it my favorite number, it’s my mom’s favorite number, too.

Tom House is the 27th player at Florida State to wear uniform No. 12.  All Thornton, who earned All-American Third-Team honors from the Associated Press and All-ACC First-team honors as a senior, wore the number in each of his four seasons as a Seminole.  Thornton was a Lottery Pick by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2007 and played four seasons in the NBA.

WHAT'S IN A NAME
My full name is Thomas James House.  I am named after my dad’s brother, Tom House, who passed away when he was a teenager in a plane crash. It is because of him that I go by Tom, instead of Thomas.  My mom and dad decided on James, my middle name.

MY HOMETOWN
My hometown of Centerville, Ohio is located in southwest Ohio, and is just outside of Dayton and Cincinnati.  It is a suburban family town with lots of parks and pools, and a lot of community support for the high school athletics.
