Outdoor: Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team…Finished seventh in the 10,000m run (28:18.28) and 16th in the 5000m run (13:37.60) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships…Finished second in the 10,000m run (28:28.86) and fifth in the 5000m run (13:39.33) to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in both events…Ran a personal best to finish second in the 5000m run (13:28.03) at the ACC Championships…Broke the ACC record and his own school record in the 10,000m run with a time of 27:38.54 at the Payton Jordan Invitational…Made his outdoor season debut at the Virginia Challenge where he finished ninth in the 5000m run with a time o f 13:38.75.
Indoor: Finished fourth at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 5000m run with a time of 13:21.23…Earned First Team All-America honors…Earned Second Team All-ACC honors with a sixth place finish in the 3000m behind a personal best time of 7:52.38 at the ACC Championships… recorded the second-fastest time in NCAA history in the 5000m (13:09.30) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational… Was named the ACC Co-Men’s Performer of the Week on Feb. 15…set a new personal best and broke the school and facility record in the 3000m with a time of 7:52.80 at the Clemson Bob Pollock Invitational.
Cross Country: Set a new personal best of 28:52.0 in the 10k at NCAA Championships with a sixth place finish overall earning All-American honors… earned All-Region honors at the NCAA South Regional with a personal best time of 29:07.11 claiming first place in the 10k… won the ACC Championships with a time of 23:07.0, 16 seconds ahead of the next runner… set a new 8k personal best time of 22:49.4 at the FSU Pre-Nationals meet with the third-fastest time in Apalachee Regional Park history and a second place finish… was once again named ACC Performer of the Week and USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Men’s Athlete of the Week… earned his third straight first place finish of the season at the Joe Piane Invitational with a time of 23:06.7 in the 5 mile race… was named the ACC Performer of the Week and USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Men’s Athlete of the Week… won the 8k at the FSU Open with a time of 23:21.9… started the season by winning the 8k at the Covered Bridge Open with a time of 24:48.53… was named ACC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year and Men’s South Region Athlete of the Year.
2020-21
Cross Country: Won silver at the 2020 NCAA Championships with a time of 29:48.2…produced the highest finish in school history and was the first FSU All-American since 2012…placed third overall and recorded a new personal-best 8k time at the FSU XC Winter Classic in his FSU XC debut (23:16.7)…also finished with the third-fastest 8k time in Apalachee Regional Park history…won first place overall at the FSU Winter XC Last Chance meet (23:30.8)…his first individual title since transferring to FSU…was named the ACC Performer of the Week following both winter XC meets…selected as the USTFCCCA South Region Athlete of the Year
Indoor T&F: Finished fourth in the 5,000M at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 13:30.55, setting a new FSU, ACC and South African national record…was the ACC Champion in the 3,000M with a time of 7:55.26…was the runner-up in the 5,000M at the Tyson Invite (13:39.43)
Outdoor T&F: Finished eighth in the 10,000M at the NCAA Championships with a personal best of 27:48.89 and captured All-America honors…ACC Champion in the 5,000M at 13:29.03…was the runner-up at the NCAA East Regional in the 10,000m (28:37.77)…won the 5,000m at the North Florida Invite (13:28.97) and took first in the 10,000M at the Virginia Challenge (28.25.11)…named ACC Performer of the Week on April 21…All-ACC Academic Team member.
Before FSU
Sophomore (2019): 2019 NCAA Cross Country Championship participant, turning in a time of 33:00.5 in the 10K event…2019 NCAA Southeast All-Region selection…2019 All-Sun Belt first-team performer…finished second overall in the Sun Belt Championship meet (8K) with a time of 23:34.3, a personal-best mark…placed fifth at the NCAA Southeast Region Cross Country Championships (10K) with a time of 29:47.5, a personal-best time…recorded a second-place finish with a time of 23:24.0 at the ECU Pirate XC Invitational…earned a spot on the Dean’s List (3.5 GPA or higher) for the 2019 fall term.
Freshman (2018): Tabbed the Sun Belt Cross Country Freshman of the Year…named All-Sun Belt first-team…competed for CCU in five meets…finished second four times, all four runner-up finishes behind his brother Nadeel…set personal-best times at the Sun Belt Championship (8K) at 24:06.60 and the NCAA Southeast Regional (10K) at 30:31.70…earned a spot on the Dean’s List (3.5 GPA or higher) for the 2018 fall semester.
