ON PHELAN
Phelan returns to the nationally ranked Florida State beach volleyball team… a member of the 2024 beach volleyball team that won the CCSA Championship and made it to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament… enters her sophomore year as one of the top sophomore setters in the nation in college volleyball… five-star recruit by vballrecruiter.com and was named the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year in 2021 and 2022… put together an outstanding senior season, delivering 217 kills, 227 digs and 977 assists along with a .453 kill percentage. She added 80 service aces and 31 blocks… wrapped up her otherworldly high school career with 3,972 career assists… was a four-time 6A First Team All-State honoree… earned MaxPreps.com First Team All-America honors… named an Under Armor High School All-American and will be competing in the Under Armor All-American Game on January 2 in Orlando, Fla… helped Fayetteville High School to three-consecutive state championships and is a four-time all-state selection… named the state tournament MVP twice… she holds the school record for both aces (288) and assists (3,792) at Fayetteville High School.

Born January 6, 2005… Kenna is the daughter of Jennifer and Darin Phelan… two sport athlete at Florida State, playing beach and indoor volleyball… Kenna’s mother, Jennifer played indoor volleyball at the University of Arkansas for now FSU head volleyball coach Chris Poole, where she was Coach Poole’s first AVCA All-American… Kenna’s father played tennis at the University of Arkansas and became an assistant coach at the school for seven years before he became the head tennis coach at Fayetteville High School… her brother, Tyler, currently runs cross country at Northwest Arkansas Community College.
