Three Noles Headed Back to Greensboro for NCAAs

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 25 Florida State women’s swimming and diving team will be represented by three Seminoles at the 2021 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
“We’re just really excited to be here,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “It’s been a tough year for everyone, so were just grateful to have this opportunity. We have three first-time individual qualifiers, which is really fun. We’re looking forward to enjoying the journey this week and having fun.”
Senior Emma Terebo, sophomore Tania Quaglieri and freshman Jenny Halden will start competing on Thursday with prelims of the 50 free.
Terebo and Quaglieri will also swim in the 100 back on Friday and 100 free on Saturday.
Prelims will start at 10 am and the top 16 swimmers from the morning heats will advance to finals, that start at 6 p.m. All sessions will be streamed via Watch ESPN and live timing will be available.

- Qualified for the NCAA Championships after posting her personal best in the 100 fly at 52.15 at the UGA Last Chance Invite
- Holds the fourth fastest time in school history in the 100 fly and is 10th in the 50 free at 22.56
- Placed 11th in the 100 fly (52.62) at the ACC Championships

- Punched her ticket to NCAAs by finishing sixth in the 100 back at the 2021 ACC Championships where she set the school record at 52.17, taking down McKayla Lightbourn’s 52.39 that was set in 2014
- Placed ninth in the 100 free at ACCs and helped the Noles place fourth in the 200 medley relay and fifth in the 200 free relay

- Qualified for her first individual NCAA meet in the 100 back by placing ninth at 53.01 at ACCs. Swam at the 2018 & 2018 NCAA Meets as a relay swimmer
- Also placed 17th in the 100 free and 20th in the 50 free at ACCs
- Ranks in the FSU all-time top 10 in three events; 100 back – 5th, 50 free – 6th, 100 free, 3rd
