Florida State Falls At Notre Dame

South Bend, Ind. – The Florida State women's tennis team (7-6, 1-3 ACC) fell to No. 39 Notre Dame (11-6, 3-3 ACC) 4-3 at the Eck Tennis Pavilion in South Bend, Indiana, on Friday.
The Seminoles kicked off doubles with a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles. The Irish responded with wins at No. 3 and No. 1 doubles to take the 1-0 lead.
Sophomore Millie Bissett earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory against Carrie Beckman at No. 4 singles to tie the match at 1-1.
Florida State fell at No. 1 singles, but answered back with Vic Allen winning 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Page Freeman at No. 2 singles to tie the match back up at 2-2.
The Seminoles took a 3-2 lead when Kristyna Lavickova won 7-6, 7-6 against Nibi Ghost at No. 5 singles.
Notre Dame earned victories at No. 6 and No. 3 singles to close the match and give the Irish the victory.
Florida State returns to action Sunday in Louisville at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Live stats and video will be available on Seminoles.com.
