Florida State Dominates Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Florida State women's tennis team (8-6, 2-3 ACC) defeated Louisville (4-11, 0-7 ACC) 5-1 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville, Kentucky, on Sunday.
The Seminoles started out hot with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to take the early 1-0 lead.
Florida State continued to dominate as Millie Bissett won 6-1, 6-0 against Berta Miret at No. 4 singles to give the Seminoles a 2-0 lead.
The Cardinals gained a point when Eva Shaw medically retired at No. 6 singles. Shaw was up 6-0, 5-2 prior to the retirement.
Anna Arkadianou won 6-1, 6-0 against Germany Davis at No. 3 singles to extend the lead to 3-1.
Sophomore Kristyna Lavickova clinched the match when she defeated Allie Gretkowski 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
After the match was clinched, Vic Allen won 6-1, 6-1 against Lika Peresypkina at No. 2 singles to close out the day.
Florida State returns to action Friday against No. 23 Georgia Tech at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center. Live stats and video will be available on Seminoles.com.
