No. 6 FSU Concludes Regular Season Thursday vs. RV Wake Forest

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 6 Florida State soccer team will close out the regular season on Thursday, October 30, at 6 p.m. ET, against RV Wake Forest at the Seminole Soccer Complex.
Broadcast live on the ACC Network, Thursday is Senior Day and the team's annual Seminole Heritage game.
General admission single-game seating is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis for each regular-season home game in 2025 for all fans without reserved midfield season tickets. Prior to the game, the team's six seniors will be honored: Enasia Colon, Heather Gilchrist, Marianyela Jiménez, Sophia Nguyen, Giana Riley and Kameron Simmonds.

Florida State is 9-2-3 on the season and tied for fourth place in the ACC with 17 points and a 5-2-2 record after a 3-2 win at then-No. 3 Virginia on October 23. The Seminoles are 5-1-1 at home, 4-1-2 on the road and 2-2-0 against top-25 foes. FSU has shut out its opponent in eight of 14 games, with multi-goal victories in each of the eight wins. Wake Forest is 10-3-4 overall and 4-2-3 in the ACC, tied for eighth place and two points behind FSU.
Thursday marks just the second time in the last five games that the Seminoles will not play a team that is ranked No. 3 or higher in the national polls. Florida State opened the stretch on October 9 at Notre Dame, ranked No. 2 at the time and now No. 1. It continued at home vs. Stanford on October 16, a team that was and still is No. 2, before Thursday's win at No. 3 Virginia. Additionally, eight of FSU's 10 conference games are against teams in the top 10 in the ACC standings, the most in the league and two more than any other team.
FSU has scored 39 goals with 43 assists on 256 shots and 110 shots on goal in 2025. In 14 games, the team has allowed 12 goals on 91 shots, 36 on target, with 24 saves for a 0.860 goals-against average and a .677 save percentage.
Junior forward Jordynn Dudley leads the team with 25 points and 11 assists and is second with seven goals and 17 shots on goal. Sophomore forward Wrianna Hudson paces the team with 11 goals and 22 shots on goal and is second with 22 points. In goal, redshirt sophomore Addie Todd has made 17 saves in her nine appearances for a .708 save percentage and a 0.84 goals-against average.
In the national rankings, FSU is No. 7 in the country in points per game (8.64), No. 8 in goals per game (2.79), assists per game (3.07) and shots per game (18.29), No. 13 in goal differential (+27), No. 16 in corner kicks per game (6.86), No. 20 in shutout percentage (.571) and No. 22 in shots on goal per game (7.86).
Individually, Dudley is second in the NCAA in assists per game (0.79), fourth in total assists (11) and 15th in points per game (1.79). Hudson ranks No. 11 in goals per game (0.79), No. 13 in shot accuracy (.629) and No. 22 in total goals (11).
In the polls, Florida State moved up five spots to No. 6 in this week's United Soccer Coaches top-25. The Seminoles also are fifth in the Top Drawer Soccer poll. FSU is No. 9 in the latest RPI, while the team is No. 6 in the first DI Top-16 Committee Rankings, unveiled on October 12.
SERIES HISTORY VS. WAKE FOREST
FSU is 14-13-6 all-time against Wake Forest, including 11-11-3 in ACC contests. The Seminoles are 8-3-0 at home, 3-9-2 in Winston-Salem and 3-1-4 at a neutral site, including a matchup in last season's ACC Semifinals. Florida State has won five of the last six and is unbeaten in nine of the last 11 contests since the 2011 postseason. The two teams played twice last season after not meeting since 2021.
In last year's first matchup, a top-10 affair on October 3, 2024, No. 4 Wake Forest posted a 4-1 home win over the sixth-ranked Seminoles. Simmonds scored for FSU early in the second half after the Demon Deacons netted two goals in each half. A month later in the ACC Semifinals in Cary, North Carolina, No. 3 seed Florida State advanced past No. 2 seed Wake Forest on penalties to reach a fifth consecutive conference championship game. It was 1-1 after regulation, with Dudley and Solai Washington assisting on a Taylor Huff goal in the 53rd minute and WF tying it in the 83rd. The Seminoles bested the Demon Deacons 3-1 in penalty kicks, with Gilchrist, Ran Iwai and Washington converting for FSU.
SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
Wake Forest is 10-3-4 on the season, 8-0-3 at home and 2-3-1 on the road. The Demon Deacons are 4-2-3 in the ACC and tied for eighth place with 15 points. The team is coming off a 1-1 draw to No. 2 Notre Dame on Sunday after a 2-1 win over Pitt to begin the weekend. That victory snapped a three-game winless streak. Against top-25 opponents, WF is 1-0-1, with a 3-2 win at No. 9 Duke along with the draw to the Fighting Irish.
The Demon Deacons are receiving votes in this week's United Soccer Coaches poll. Their RPI is No. 21 heading into the final regular-season game.
WF has scored 29 goals with 28 assists on 201 shots, 79 on goal. The team has held opponents to 15 goals with 50 saves for a 0.88 goals-against average and a .795 save percentage. Kylie Maxwell and Allie Flanagan have five goals each, with Maxwell leading the team with 15 points, 44 shots and 19 shots on goal. Sierra Sythe has nine assists and is second with 13 points. In goal, Valentina Amaral has started all 17 games and has made 57 saves with a .792 save percentage and a 0.89 goals-against average.
LAST TIME OUT: NOLES SCORE LATE TO BEST NO. 3 UVA
Florida State scored the game-winning goal with just 80 seconds remaining to beat No. 3 Virginia 3-2 on October 23 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dudley recorded a brace and had the game-winning assist, while Hudson netted the game winner. Their efforts helped the Seminoles earn their first top-10 road win since 2023 and their first victory over a top-three team in the regular season, home or away, since a 1-0 win at No. 2 Virginia on October 6, 2022.
On a chilly night in Charlottesville, the Cavaliers took a 1-0 lead just after halftime before Dudley tied it 10 minutes later in the 59th minute. Less than five minutes passed for Dudley to get her second to give FSU a 2-1 advantage. UVA tied it at 2-2 in the 79th minute only for Hudson to win it in the 89th.
Thursday night marked the third time in four games, all in the last 15 days, that the Seminoles played a team that was and still is ranked No. 3 or higher in the national polls. With the win, Florida State stretched its unbeaten streak to five in a row against Virginia, and FSU is 13-6-3 vs. UVA since 2011.
