Seminoles Travel to Statesboro to Take On Georgia Southern
  • After a couple of big wins at Tully Gym last week, the Seminoles will head to Statesboro to take on Georgia Southern.
  • Georgia Southern has gotten off to a great start and is 9-1 this season. The Eagles and Noles have shared a couple of common opponents. The Eagles took down North Florida in four sets and UIC in five sets. The Eagles lone loss came at Georgia in five sets.

Series History
  • FSU and Georgia Southern have not met since 2013 in the NCAA Tournament.
  • FSU leads the all-time series 5-0 and has never dropped a set to the Eagles.
  • This will be the first meeting in Statesboro between these two teams.

Last Time Out
  • The Noles had a great start to their home slate this past weekend as they defeated Auburn and Georgia State each in four sets.
  • FSU's win over Auburn was its best win of the year as they rallied back after being swept by the Tigers just two days earlier. Iane Henke led the way with 19 kills while Kyleene Filimaua added 16 kills. Nenu Kpea tallied 11 kills and led the team with six blocks. After Auburn blocked the Seminoles 17 times on Friday night, the Noles rallied back and were blocked just two times while the Noles tallied 11 blocks on Sunday.
  • The Noles came back on Monday for their fourth match in six days and defeated Georgia State in four sets. Freshman Nenu Kpea was on fire for the Noles as she led the way with 13 kills while hitting .565 and eight blocks. Iane Henke added 12 kills for the Noles as well.

  • In the four matches against North Florida, USF, South Carolina and Oklahoma, Henke tallied 15 or more kills in all four of those matches while hitting over .300 in all those matches. Henke is the first FSU player since Norisha Campbell in 2001 to accomplish that feat.
