Seminoles Prepare for ACC Matchup Against Virginia Tech

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State lacrosse team (2-7, 0-5 ACC) returns home on Saturday to host Virginia Tech at 11 a.m. at the Seminole Lacrosse Complex.
The Seminoles will look to rebound after falling to Virginia on Sunday. Virginia Tech enters the matchup at 5-4 overall and picked up its first ACC win earlier this season with a 16-11 victory over Louisville.
Sophomore Meg Kenny leads the Florida State offense with 14 goals and 16 total points this season. Freshman Summer Harrell has added 10 goals and five assists for 15 points, while senior Lola Mancuso has contributed 11 goals.
Freshman Brynn Perkins and sophomore Lydia Ward have each scored nine goals this season to help pace the Seminole attack. Florida State has scored 74 goals through nine games and has placed 151 of its 189 shots on goal.
On the defensive end, senior Erin Schaefer leads the team with 19 ground balls, while senior Reilly Hunter has recorded nine draw controls and seven ground balls.
In goal, senior Catrina Tobin has started eight games for Florida State and has recorded 31 saves this season. Sophomore Julia Ward has also seen time in the cage, tallying 28 saves in eight appearances.
