TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State men's tennis team (12-11, 3-7 ACC) will host its final games of the regular season this weekend at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center. FSU will play No. 44 Duke Friday under the lights at 6 p.m. before a Senior Day match Sunday at 2 p.m. against No. 51 North Carolina.

Sunday's Senior Day pre-match ceremony will recognize Corey Craig and Luis Felipe Miguel.

The Seminoles notched its third conference victory with a win over Virginia Tech on Sunday. Florida State added five straight singles victories on courts two, five, six, three and one to clinch the match after dropping the doubles point.

The No. 44 Blue Devils come to Tallahassee for the first time since 2018, when Florida State earned a 4-1 victory over Duke on Senior Day. Duke is led by Cooper Williams, who has played some of his strongest tennis during conference competitions. No. 47 Williams holds a 6-0 record in ACC singles play, with two additional matches left unfinished.

In doubles play, Williams and Pedro Rodenas have been a force on the court, compiling a 13-2 record in dual competition. The No. 14 nationally-ranked duo carried a seven-match win streak before Wake Forest snapped the run over the weekend. Williams and Rodenas also secured their highest-ranked victory of the campaign with a 6-4 triumph over No. 8 Alex Chang and Alex Razeghi of Stanford.

No. 51 North Carolina enters Sunday's matchup with an 11-9 overall record and a 4-6 mark in ACC play. The Tar Heels are coming off a narrow 4-3 defeat to No. 23 NC State on Senior Day. UNC saw a boost in the rankings following a pair of strong home wins over higher-ranked opponents earlier in the season, defeating No. 38 Clemson and No. 52 Georgia Tech. Freshman Kase Schinnerer earned ACC Freshman of the Week honors after clinching the deciding singles matches in both victories.

The newest ITA rankings were released on Tuesday. Florida State maintained its position at No. 50 in the team rankings to mark its second week in the top-50 this season. Craig checked in at No. 120 and Miguel was at No. 98, while Erik Schiessl retained his top-100 ranking at No. 93. Miguel and Schiessl remain in the top-25 doubles rankings at No. 23, while Justin Lyons and Azariah Rusher moved to No. 69. Schiessl and Jan Sebesta make an appearance in the rankings as a pair for the first time this season at No. 55.
