Landgraf Leads Seminoles in Second Round at Schooner

NORMAN, Okla. – Four Seminoles shot under par as No. 21 Florida State carded a six-under 274 in the second round of the Schooner Fall Classic Sunday at Belmar Golf Club.

Due to weather, the second round began with a 9 a.m. shotgun start, an hour earlier than originally scheduled. Florida State's 274 was the second-lowest round of the day, moving the Seminoles to 10-under for the tournament and keeping them in fourth place after 36 holes. Iowa State moved to the top of the leaderboard at 19-under, while host Oklahoma and No. 27 TCU are tied for second at 13-under.

Freshman Louise Landgraf led the way for the Seminoles, delivering her best round as a Seminole with a bogey-free three-under 67. After opening with 12 consecutive pars, Landgraf caught fire down the stretch, making birdie on three of her final six holes, including her final hole on No. 4, to finish three-under for the round.

Haruhi Nakatani, Sophia Fullbrook, and Alexandra Gazzoli each carded one-under 69 to help Florida State remain in contention.

Nakatani entered the day tied for the individual lead after firing a career-low five-under 65 in Saturday's opening round. The sophomore briefly moved to nine-under after making birdie on four consecutive holes, but three bogeys later in the round brought her back to six-under for the tournament. Nakatani enters the final round tied for third, just one stroke off the individual lead.

Gazzoli followed a similar path, making four birdies over a six-hole stretch. Despite a double bogey on her final hole, the junior finished one-under 69 and is tied for 18th heading into the final round.

Fullbrook continued her steady play, recording three birdies, two bogeys and 13 pars for a one-under 69. The Preseason All-American made her final birdie on No. 3, her finishing hole, to move into red numbers for the round. She is tied for 15th after 36 holes.

Florida State will play the final round Tuesday with another shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. ET. The Seminoles will again be grouped with Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech.
