TALLAHASSEE – The No. 22 Florida State soccer team returns to action with a matchup at Louisville on Sunday, September 27, in a nationally-televised contest on ACC Network.
Kickoff is at 12 p.m. ET at UofL's Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.

Following a 15 day hiatus after one ACC game, the Seminoles are 4-1-2 on the season, 1-0-2 at home and 3-1-0 on the road. FSU is 0-0-1 in league play after a 2-2 draw to NC State on September 11 in Tallahassee. Louisville is 2-0-1 in the ACC and in second place with seven points following a 1-1 draw at Cal on September 20.
Florida State has scored 15 goals on 12 assists with 90 shots, 49 on frame, and has allowed seven goals on 72 shots for a 1.00 goals-against average and a .774 save percentage. FSU's goals have come from eight different players, five of them newcomers, and seven players have at least one assist, six of them first-year Seminoles.
Individually, junior midfielder Sam Erbach has a team-high-tying three goals with a squad-best four assists, nine points and 18 shots. Junior forward Wrianna Hudson also has three goals, leads the team with 13 shots on goal and paces the NCAA with a .765 shot accuracy. Sophomore goalkeeper Kate Ockene has two shutouts with 20 saves and a 3-1-2 record. She has earned one ACC Goalkeeper of the Week honor this year.

FSU is ranked No. 22 in the week four IWSOC DI Top 25 Coaches Poll, while Top Drawer Soccer also has the Seminoles 22nd.
SERIES HISTORY VS. LOUISVILLE
Florida State is 11-0-0 all-time against Louisville and 9-0-0 as ACC opponents. The Seminoles are 5-0-0 at home, 5-0-0 on the road and 1-0-0 at a neutral site after a 2-0 home win in the 2025 ACC opener. A 3-2 home win in 2001 began the series, followed by a 2-0 NCAA Tournament win in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2011. As ACC foes, a 6-0 win in Tallahassee got the series started, which is the largest margin of victory between the two teams. Eight of the 11 games have been Florida State shutouts and four have been one-goal games, including two 1-0 affairs.
On September 11, 2025, at the Seminole Soccer Complex, FSU shut out Louisville 2-0 as the Seminoles held UofL to one shot on goal. Hudson scored the game-winning goal with a penalty kick in the 24th minute and an insurance goal came in the 87th minute. SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville is 8-1-1 on the season and 2-0-1 in the ACC. The Cardinals are 5-1-0 at home and 3-0-1 on the road. UofL had won eight in a row before a 1-1 draw at Cal on September 20, a result that came three days after a 1-0 upset at No. 6 Stanford. The team began ACC competition with a 4-2 home win over Pitt on September 12.
The Cardinals are receiving votes in this week's Coaches Poll, while Top Drawer Soccer has UofL at No. 13.
LAST TIME OUT: DRAW TO BEGIN ACC
The Seminoles came back twice in a 2-2 home tie to NC State on September 11. FSU erased two one-goal deficits in the contest, as the unbeaten Wolfpack took an early 1-0 lead and went ahead 2-1 in the 58th minute. Both times FSU answered, with a goal by Hudson in the 23rd minute and another tying score by junior midfielder Shaneil Buckley in the 65th. Buckley also assisted on Florida State's first goal, as she notched her first goal and assist of her FSU and NCAA D-I career. Hudson tallied her second goal in as many games.
FSU was out-shot 13-7, while the home side had a 5-4 edge in shots on goal. Corner kicks were 8-0 for NC State, and the visitors were called for 12 fouls to Florida State's six. Erbach had a game-high-tying three shots and had two shots on goal along with Hudson. Ockene made two saves as NC State's keeper stopped three shots.
The Seminoles are 19-3-5 all-time vs. NC State and 11-0-3 in Tallahassee. FSU is inbeaten in the last 23 matchups since 1999, with draws in the last two.
