2013:

Made 30 relief appearances in 2013 – predominantly as the closer…posted a record of 4-2 with nine saves and a 2.25 ERA…worked 36.0 innings with 35 strikeouts and allowed 16 walks…limited opposing hitters to a .217 batting average…in his first 9.1 innings of the season – over a span of four appearances – he allowed only two hits, zero runs and struck out 15 batters…earned his first collegiate save after getting the final two outs – both strikeouts – against Jacksonville (2/20)…threw a season-high 2.2 innings, allowed only one hit and struck out five against Villanova (3/3)…pitched the final 1.1 innings to earn the save at Florida (3/12) to help FSU secure its first win over the Gators in Gainesville since 2007…recorded his first win and faced the minimum in 1.2 innings of work as FSU came from behind to beat Georgia Tech (3/24)…credited with saves in three straight appearances – vs. Florida (3/26), at Virginia Tech (3/30) and against Florida Gulf Coast (4/2)…closed out the final inning against Troy (6/1) as FSU clinched the NCAA Tallahassee Regional…was 2-0 with four saves against ACC competition…finished the year ranked tied for fourth in saves in the ACC and tied for fifth in appearances.

CHIPOLA JUNIOR COLLEGE:

Helped lead Chipola Junior College to the Panhandle Conference Championship in 2011…named an NJCAA All-American as a member of Baseball America’s Third Team in 2012…earned the Robert Purkey, Jr., Memorial Award as the Outstanding Pitcher in the state tournament…also named to the Panhandle All-Conference Second Team…amassed an 18-3 record at Chipola over two seasons and helped lead the Indians to a 2011 state title and a fifth place finish in the National Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL:

Played at Wakulla High School where he helped led the 2010 War Eagles to the Elite 8 of the Regional Tournament…marked the best finish at Wakulla High in 42 years.

PERSONAL:

Son of Tracy and Jan Forester…one brother, Chase and one sister, Whitney…full name is Robert Coles…left Florida State following his junior season to pursue a career in the MLB…born on August 20, 1991.
