Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200 fly…finished in eighth place in the 200 fly (1:47.17) after posting a 1:44.25 in prelims at the ACC Championships…was also 12th in the 200 IM at 1:45.82…won the 200 fly (1:50.09) and fifth in the 100 fly (50.46) vs. FAU…was the runner up in the 200 fly (1:48.84) vs. LSU…placed second in the 200 fly (1:49.15) and finished in fourth in the 100 fly (49.64) against Alabama…took 13th in the 400 IM (3:57.87), 17th in the 100 fly (48.51), 14th in the 200 IM (1:49.20) third in the 200 fly (1:46.16)at the Georgia Tech Invite…finished in fifth place in the 200 fly (1:51.33) at No. 9 Florida…took sixth in the 200 IM (1:54.72) and fifth in the 200 fly (1:52.09) at Georgia Tech…was fourth in the 200 fly (1:51.22) and 400 IM (4:08.85) in the win over Minnesota…was sixth in the 200 IM (1:56.87) and seventh in the 200 fly (1:52.72) against Duke…competed in the 200 fly (1:53.48) and 200 IM (1:56.46) at No. 12 Notre Dame.

2018-19

Qualified for his second NCAA Championships in the 200 fly where he finished 23rd with a time of 1:42.63…placed 14th in the 400 IM (3:48.43) after swimming a personal best of 3:48.29 in prelims at ACCs… was also 13th in the 200 fly (1:44.02) and 16th in the 200 IM (1:47.35)… was seventh in the 100 fly (50.65) and fourth in the 400 IM (4:06.87) before winning the 200 fly (1:50.46) against Alabama…finished sixth in the 200 fly at the GT Invite with a time of 1:45.29…was also sixth in the 200 IM (1:47.07), ninth in the 400 IM (3:54.51) and 10th in the 100 fly (50.43) after posting a time of 47.81 in prelims.

2017-18

Qualified for his first career NCAA Championships in the 200 fly where he placed 24th with a time of 1:43.17…turned in his personal best swim in the 100 fly at the NCAA Championships with a time of 46.97… was seventh in the 200 IM at the ACC Championships (1:45.59) after swimming a personal best of 1:45.12 in prelims…placed 16th in the 400 IM and 10th in the 200 fly…swam his personal best 200 fly in a time trial at ACCs at 1:42.44…finished fourth in the 200 IM (1:46.91) third in the 400 IM (3:49.59) at the GT Invite…also added a 10th place finish in the 100 fly after swimming a personal best of 47.59 in prelims…placed fourth in the 200 fly at 1:45.71…member of the ACC Honor Roll

2016-17:

Scored points in the 400 IM at the ACC Championships with a time of 3:51.17…placed seventh in the 200 fly with a final time of 1:45.03 after swimming a personal best in prelims of 1:44.64 at the UGA Invite…added a 12th place finish in the 200 IM (1:46.06) and was also 11th in the 400 IM (3:49.48)…also swam in the C final of the 100 fly following a career best time in prelims of 48.19…was selected as the Rookie of the Year at the end of the year banquet…member of the ACC Honor Roll

Prep:

A member of New Zealand’s national team…is the reigning national champ in the 200 fly.

Personal:

Born May 18, 1996…son of Igor and Larissa Polianski…his father  won the gold medal in 200 backstroke at the 1988 Olympics for the USSR in Seoul. He also held the World Record in the 100 back from March 15-Aug. 12, 1988.
