Finished in eighth place in the 50 free at 21.12 at the Auburn Invite before winning the 100 fly at 48.68…was the runner up in the 100 back (51.12) against FAU…placed 22nd in the 100 back with a time of 49.80 at the GT Invite…finished fourth in the 100 back (51.98) and was the runner-up in the 200 back (1:55.69) against Florida Southern…competed in relays and in the 100 back (52.59) at No. 9 Florida…swam in the 200 back (1:57.20) and clocked a 50.94 in the 100 fly against RV Minnesota…finished in fifth place (51.53) in the 100 back and competed in the 100 fly (50.94) against Duke.
High School
A local standout that was a two-time FHSAA 3A state champion in the 100 fly (48.31) and 100 back (49.70) while representing Chiles High School in 2017…as a senior won silver in the 100 fly at 48.73 and took fourth in the 50 free at 21.24 and took hold silver in the 100 back (50.58) and bronze in the 100 fly (49.73) as a sophomore…was named Athlete of the Year at Senior Convocation…was on the athlete honor roll all four years.
Personal: Born Dec. 24, 2000…son of Zili and Xuejun Sun…older brother swam at the NCAA Division III Stevens Institute of Technology.
