ON SHAW
A member of Florida State’s 2024 NCAA Championships team…helped the Seminoles advance to the second round in the NCAA Championships and semifinals of ACC Championships.
FALL 2025
Shaw won her first match of the fall season at the ITA All-American Championships...Advanced to the round of 32 at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships...Earned two victories at the ITA Sectional Championships, including knocking off No. 69-ranked Raquel Gonzalez of Miami 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 to finish in a tie for fifth to qualify for the NCAA Singles Championships...Advanced to the NCAA Singles Championships round of 32 after earning a victory over Louise Wikander of Denver 6-4, 6-3...finished ranked No. 94 in singles heading into the spring season...Earned a doubles victory at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships with Abby Kelliher...Advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Sectional Championships, earning a victory in the round of 16 with Millie Bissett.
SPRING 2025
Began the spring earning two singles victories over Alabama State...Earned her first two conference singles victories at Boston College and No. 45 Syracuse...Carrying a four-match conference win streak, Shaw earned her first ranked victory of the season, defeating No. 64 Akari Matsuno of Notre Dame 7-6 (6), 6-4...Defeated Sophie Llewellyn of No. 62 SMU to help the Noles earn a 4-3 comeback victory..Was leading 3-1 in the third set over No. 37 Mao Mushika of Cal when the match concluded...Leading 2-0 in the third set against No. 4 Reese Brantmeier of North Carolina when the match concluded...Defeated No. 111 Alice Otis of Louisville in the second round of the ACC Women's Tennis Championship...Earned third-team All-ACC singles honors and finished as high as No. 96 in the ITA singles ranking....Began the spring doubles season with a 6-0 ranked victory over the No. 117-ranked pair of Alabama State with partner Maria Juliana Parra Romero...The pair went undefeated during non-conference play...After winning their first conference match at Boston College, the pair defeated the No. 25-ranked duo of Miami and began conference play 5-0...The duo earned their highest-ranked victory of the season at Duke, defeating the No. 15-ranked pair 6-2...Eva and Maria won 13-straight matches, tied for third all-time in FSU history for consecutive partner doubles matches won..She earned third-team All-ACC doubles honors and was ranked as high as No. 39 in the ITA doubles rankings.
SPRING 2024
Finished the spring season with three wins in singles and appeared in nine matches in the spring season...defeated Valeria Centeno of UNC Asheville 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles to help the Seminoles earn a 4-0 win and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament...won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles over Sydney Clarke of UAB...earned a 6-4, 6-1 win over Genesis Whitelock of FAMU at No. 4 singles. BEFORE FLORIDA STATE
Graduated from Loughborough Amherst school….has an ITF juniors’ career-high ranking of No. 85 in the world...won the 16U and 18U National Championships in singles and won two J4 ITF’s.
PERSONAL
Born May 22, 2005…Eva is the daughter of Zoe and Adam Shaw…has one sister, Poppy...Growing up, Shaw played soccer, hockey, netball.. fell in love with tennis due to the individual component of the sport…her dream job is to be a professional tennis player.
